This is an excellent machine and Cuisinart is a fantastic brand. Retro style, stainless-steel with black-plastic accents, this 12-cup coffee maker includes Cuisinart’s best brewing technology and premium features. It has a programmable digital clock/timer for automatically brewing coffee at a selected time and for turning off the warming plate up to four hours in advance. Removing the glass carafe from the warming plate automatically pauses the brewing process for a quick pour, and the warming plate’s temperature can be adjusted for different temperature drinking preferences.  The coffee maker measures 14-1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep (including carafe handle) and carries a three-year warranty against defects.

Good Points:

• Probably the biggest advantage of this machine is that it makes excellent HOT coffee
• The brewing is quick and efficient, with the process taking about a minute a cup, maybe less.
• Easy to use and the feature for 1-4 cups of coffee makes brewing a small amount taste wonderful.
• Does not leak when pouring from the carafe.
• Indicator-light shows when decalcification is needed
• Three-year warranty

Bad Points:

• The machine is quite tall, so if your counter space is only under the cabinets, you may not be able to lift the top in its entirety.
• Refilling the reservoir is a little awkward as it is located in the very back of the machine, next to the hinge for the lid and the water can either splash out of the back or into the coffee.
