Krups is a long trusted brand and for good reason. This Krups XP4030 represents the newest European designs yet maintains the rigorous and clearly functional characteristics synonymous with Krups products.

Specifically designed for easy operation, the Krups XP4030 is a 15 bar pump espresso machine. It claims to be “fool proof”, however we would not agree with this declaration. It can be a little tricky at times but is equipped with a patented “Perfect Froth System” which makes the process of steaming and frothing milk for cappuccino or latte simple. It has a high convenience filter holder that has 3 different settings: 1 for 1 serving, 2 for 2 servings of espresso, and 3 for ESE Pods, so you can have the best of both worlds as you can choose between ground coffee or pods. The auto cappuccino system also precisely combines the right amount of steam and air to easily froth milk, and it is best to use cold milk for the ideal froth.

But really, for the money, this Krups XP4030 pump is totally worth it.

All in all, we rate this Saeco 641 Odea Go Super Automatic Espresso Machine well. But, it has mixed opinions.

This Saeco 641 Odea Go Super Automatic Espresso Machine does everything it should; grinds, doses, tamps, brews, and dispenses quality espresso, and even prepares one to two cups at the same time. The espresso machine’s pre-brewing cycle maximizes flavor extraction, while its Pannarello frothing device produces steam in three different directions for cappuccinos and lattes, dispenses hot water for making hot beverages and soups, and can be completely removed for cleaning.

Other features of the Saeco 641 Odea Super Automatic Espresso Machine include:

• a 1-1/2-liter removable water tank;
• an Aqua Prima water filter that removes impurities from the water and protects the machine from limescale damage;
• a drip tray that can be raised or lowered manually or electrically with a simple touch, which means it easily accommodates different cup sizes such as espresso cups or glasses; and
• a removable Saeco brew group for easy, chemical-free cleaning.

One thing we do have to mention is this machine seems to be a little on the demanding side – there is a lot of blinking going on requesting you to do something i.e fill the water reservoir, empty the ground coffee etc. It is also a little on the cumbersome side, but if you have the bench space, this shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

With this Mr. Coffee ECM21 4-shot combo espresso machine, you can have fun serving espresso, cappuccinos and lattes to your guest while conveniently being able to also make regular black coffee. One might ask when you would need to offer such a service, buy hey, you at least have the option!!

Importantly, the espresso/coffee machine’s removable cone filter basket and removable water reservoir provides easy filling, while its brew-strength setting accommodates individual preferences. And frothing or steaming milk for cappuccino and lattes is quick and easy with the variable steam control and swivel steam valve. Other useful features include a lighted “on/off” switch, a pressure safety valve, and a pause-n-serve function for pouring a cup midbrew. The unit’s dishwasher-safe glass carafe and removable drip tray make cleanup a snap. A measuring scoop is included. The espresso/coffee machine measures approximately 10 by 12 by 11 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

The Capresso 121.01 Ultima Semi-Automatic Coffee and Espresso Machine makes it easy to brew espresso and make cappuccinos and lattes at home or in the office. If you find some machines require a university degree to be able to use, then this machine could be the one for you. It’s described as semiautomatic because all that’s required is to fill the water tank, place ground coffee into a receptacle, and pull a lever. Within seconds coffee flows from the double spout, which adjusts for different cup heights, into one or two cups. No tamping is required because the machine tamps the coffee precisely and automatically. Nor is it necessary to clean used coffee grounds out of a messy filter holder, because there is no filter holder, and the machine automatically discards grounds into a waste tray. The tray also catches overflows, and a light shows when it needs emptying.

The Capresso 121.01 Ultima Semi-Automatic Coffee and Espresso Machine is really good value for money. There is a want that rotates out for steaming and frothing milk for cappuccinos, lattes, and hot chocolates. The coffee receptacle will make a big mug of regular coffee as well as an espresso (a very good feature from my experience!). Also, the 53-ounce water tank is transparent for easy to use water-level monitoring and the water heats quickly thanks to the 1,200-watt heating coil, and a thermostat light shows when the water is hottest. For those of you who hate loose cords around, the machine has internal storage for the power cord and comes with clear instructions, drink recipes, and a one-year warranty against defects.

Well, the idea behind a combination machine is great. Who says you can’t kill two birds with one stone!?!? But unfortunately it is not enough for a coffee machine to possess design features, the functionality also needs to be up to scratch.

Unfortunately, this is where the DeLonghi Combination Espresso/Coffee machine falls apart. Many consumers have complained about water leaking from this machine. When it works, this machine can also prepare a great cappuccino, latte or hot chocolate for the perfect drink. It has a patented instant froth dispenser which lets you add froth right in the same cup as your coffee or cappuccino. This machine also features programmable digital timer that allows you to set the machine to turn on at a later time and even sets to the exact minute. The 10 cup Carafe allows you to make enough cups of coffee to keep everyone satisfied and the Drip Interrupt feature lets you have a cup before the pot is done brewing.

If they had spent a little more effort stopping the water leaking, it would be a great machine, but unfortunately not in our experience.

The Nespresso C100 US AERO essenza automatic single-serve espresso machine is great for macchiatos, cappuccinos, or cafe lattes. Simply press the button for coffee, then for the millk: add milk, and press the button for milk froth in about 50 seconds or hot milk in about 80 seconds. The C100 comes with dosage indicators inside the jug to make it easy to measure for milk froth or hot milk. The design of this machine has been very thought out, and it also comes with a stay-cool handle, drip-free spout, and cordless design (lifts off its power base) to ensure a graceful pour into your cup.

This Nespresso C100-US-AERO Essenza espresso machine only uses capsules, not any other ground espresso, which is both a good and bad thing. But Nespresso provides a range of premium coffee blends, including decaffeinated and an assortment of 12 capsules comes included. Some people may find this the more expensive option at $0.52 per cup compared to $0.30 for ground coffee, but the extra $0.22 per cup to not have to clean, is worth it in my opinion. Anyone with young children (me included!) certainly doesn’t have time to clean!! Also, the coffee tastes so good, you won’t need to stop by the cafe on your way to work to get your caffeine fix, so in a couple of months, this Nespresso C100 should pay for itself.

Anyway, below are the pros vs cons of the Nespresso C100-US-AERO Essenza:

Good points:

• backlit on/off button,
• electronic temperature regulation,
• less clean up due to the capsules
• drip tray, and
• removable 41-ounce water tank.

Bad points:

• Have to use Nespresso’s blends of coffee
